Taxes on your Selz fees
Selz is legally obliged to charge taxes on some customer transactions and to pay those taxes to the local tax authorities.
Whether or not taxes are due depends on your location. The rate of tax is determined by the local authority.
Selz uses your business address to determine the applicable tax. These taxes are related to your Selz fees only and are not influenced by the products or services you sell.
This article explains the different taxes Selz charges on fees in different locations.
Taxes in the US
Selz does not charge any sales taxes on your Selz plan if you are in the United States.
Taxes in the EU
If you are located within the European Union, Selz is legally obliged to charge VAT at the prevailing rate for your location. You can see a list of EU VAT rates here.
If you are a business with a valid VAT number or VAT ID, you can supply your VAT number and Selz will not add VAT to your charges.
To submit your VAT number to Selz please:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Settings > Store > General
- Add your valid VAT number
Taxes in Australia
If you are located in Australia, Selz charges GST on your subscription fees. If your business is registered for GST you will be able to reclaim this amount by your Selz invoices.
Taxes in Canada
Selz does not charge any sales taxes on your Selz subscription if you are located in Canada.
