Managing custom fields

This feature is available for users with our 2019 Standard and Advanced plans and our legacy Standard and Pro plans.

Whether you want phone numbers, birthdays, gift recipient information, or delivery details, our custom fields feature makes it easy to collect this information from your customers.

Types of custom fields available

  • Text: A buyer can enter text only
  • Number: A buyer can enter only a number
  • Date: A buyer can select a date from a calendar
  • Checkbox: A buyer can click a checkbox to select details
  • Radio: A buyer can choose from multiple different options
  • Dropdown: A buyer can choose from multiple options
  • Toggle: A buyer can activate an on/off switch for the options

How to add custom fields

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click on Settings > Checkout
  3. Click on the Custom Fields tab
  4. Add your custom fields
  5. Click Save

How to disable custom fields

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click on Settings > Checkout
  3. Click on the Custom Fields tab
  4. Click on the field you want to disable
  5. Uncheck the Enabled box at the top of the screen
  6. If you wish to delete your custom field, you can do this by clicking Delete and confirming at the bottom of the page.
  • Your custom field(s) will be saved in the left-hand column and can be edited at any time. Any custom fields added will be enabled during checkout. 
  • Any custom fields collected from your buyers will also be included in a CSV export and on order confirmation emails.
